The City of Cherry Hills Village, Colorado is located in Arapahoe County just south of Denver. Cherry Hills Village was incorporated as a town in June of 1945 and became a home rule city in 1966. Cherry Hills Village is a predominantly residential city of 6.5 square miles with a population of about 6,000. Cherry Hills Village is one of the most affluent areas in all of Colorado and its streets, sprinkled with sprawling, extravagant homes, are not shy about showing it off. Most of these homes are between 12,000 to 20,000 square feet, have all the room for your wine collection, car collection, sword collection, tanning bed collection and just about any other collection you’d like to have. The city hosted two PGA Championships (1941 & 1985) and the 2005 U.S. Women’s Open at the Cherry Hills Country Club. This city is known for the big houses, notable people living there such as John Elway, Peyton Manning, and David Duval, and a high median income around $225,000! The community was named for a grove of cherry trees near the original town site.
